Timelock Film AB is a Swedish based production company focusing on development and production of international feature films (English language) – in familly, action/adventure, fantasy, thriller, sci-fi and horror genre. We also provide post production and script consultant services for TV and feature film production, as well as workshops and content for online training for film students.
TOMAS AMLÖV, CEO/Producer
Tomas Amlöv has been active in the film industry for 15 years – and part of the Cannes producers Net-work the last two of them.
Starting out as and producer/editor of commercials and corporate videos, Tomas soon moved on to shorts and TV-dramas. His films have been granted financial support from Scandinavian broadcasters and dis-tributors as well as international sales agents – and equity funds like Film I Väst, Nordisk Film and TV fund. He has also received grants from the Swedish Film Institute.
Tomas first feature film; Swedish action adventure, “Skills”, premiered at the American Film Market 2010. To date, “Skills” has been sold to 18 countries internationally (very good for a Swedish language film). Among other projects, Tomas has also produced the Swedish short “The Other Side”, that won the Swedish short film award in 2003 and was nominated for competition in Lucarno. Tomas started his ca-reer in the computer industry, where he founded several web production companies. In the late 1990’s, Tomas switched fields to the film industry. Today his production company Timelock Film AB is doing well with over eight projects in various states of development. Tomas also consults new indie producers regarding legal financing, distribution and legal. He also writes continues articles on pitching, film financ-ing, negotiating tactics, marketing strategies – and many other related topics for the Swedish site Film-cafe.se as well as American site Filmproposals.com
Tomas is skilled in digital art of filmmaking, educated at Colorado Mountain College and Swedish Goth-enburg Film Academy, Drama Center, as well as the film production program at University West. He pro-duced his first low budget feature film, “Coola Grabbar Är Dyra i Drift”, in 1995. After that he continued to produce low budget movies and study script development, movie production, law and economics along-side his education.
Tomas has been awarded several scholarships and trusted assignments, one of them the education scholar-ship from the Swedish Film institute.
